Anatomical Collection
The combined anatomical collection encompasses various medical specimens dating back to the 18th century. With its wax, plaster, and wooden models, plastinates, corrosion preparations, metal casts of organs, as well as pathological-anatomical and zoological objects, the collection at Charité's Anatomy department holds significant importance for medical continuing education.
Body Donation for Medicine and Research
The Anatomy department relies on individuals who generously donate their bodies for medical education and research to fulfill its educational mission. As body donation in the Berlin-Brandenburg region requires a "Last Will and Testament," the Anatomy department at Charité Berlin also provides information on this sensitive topic.
